Özlem Ege Polat, Founding Partner of EGE, has extensive experience in Energy and Corporate Law. Throughout her career, she has focused on advising international and domestic energy companies and investors and has developed substantial experience in addressing complex legal matters arising from energy regulation.Her experience includes the drafting and negotiation of legal documentation such as energy trading agreements, the management of complex licensing procedures, and the representation of clients before courts and administrative authorities.Throughout her career, Özlem has represented numerous domestic and multinational clients in energy sector transactions. Her broad-based approach extends beyond the energy sector, enabling her to provide strategic guidance to clients operating across various industries. She has advised clients at all stages of transactions in the areas of Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Law and Commercial Law.Özlem graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University in 2007 and obtained her LL.M. degree from the University of Cologne in 2011 with her thesis entitled “Establishment of an Energy Exchange in Türkiye: EEX as a Model.”

Tuna Çakırca is a leading attorney with extensive experience in corporate law, commercial law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), information technology law and capital markets. Over the past 20 years, he has gained substantial experience in complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions in which he has represented both buyers and sellers across more than ten industries.Tuna also has significant experience in the technology sector and regularly advises technology companies on all legal aspects of their businesses. His work includes regulatory compliance, commercial agreements and negotiations, intellectual property, litigation, employment matters and relations with public authorities. His experience also covers payment products, blockchain technology and initial coin offerings (ICOs), and he continues to support numerous multinational companies in these areas as part of their day-to-day operations.Tuna graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law in 2006. He worked as an attorney at White & Case and Kinstellar in Istanbul and as a senior attorney at Chadbourne & Parke (now Norton Rose). Prior to founding EGE ÇAKIRCA, he spent ten years as a partner at an Istanbul-based law firm recognised by international legal directories.
